Fresno Realtors Thrilled at Andrea Bocelli's Christmas Concert in Fresno
Fresno REALTORS, Ken and Carol Maul, were in the sold-out crowd that was thrilled by famed tenor, Andrea Bocelli, at the Saroyan Theatre in Downtown Fresno last night.
Sponsored by Fresno Grand Opera, Bocelli made his third appearance in Fresno, one to open the Save Mart Center in 2003. He was joined on stage by the Fresno Grand Opera Orchestra under the direction of an animated Steven Mercurio and by the Fresno Grand Opera Chorus under the direction of Lukas Cerny.
The first half of the concert featured many operatic arias. Soprano Ana Maria Martinez joined Bocelli on several.
The second half of the concert was Christmas music, and Bocelli was joined on-stage by David Foster. For "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," young children in winter attire sang with Bocelli.
There were three encores with the final piece being Bocelli's famous "Time to Say Goodbye" sung with Martinez.
The Executive Director of the Fresno Grand Opera is Ron Eichmann. The next performance is Verdi's "Rigoletto" on Friday, January 29 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 31 at 2 p.m. More information and tickets are available at Fresno Grand Opera.
