Fresno's Holiday Tradition - Christmas Tree Lane

Christmas Tree Lane 2009, originally uploaded by Donna Waddell-Solis.

Thousands of people turned out to enjoy Christmas Tree Lane’s “Walk Night” on Tuesday. To see a few more photos of Walk Night click HERE.

The lights of Christmas Tree Lane will remain on from 6 p.m. till 10 p.m. (till 11 on Friday & Saturday's) thru December 26th. To drive the Lane, turn north on Van Ness Boulevard at Shields Avenue (traffic is only moving one-way). You can get a closer look at the decorations by traveling on foot, but unlike on “Walk Night” you’ll need to share the road with the cars.

Christmas Tree Lane is made possible by the efforts of the residents of Old Fig Garden.  A donation box is available on the Lane and your voluntary support will be greatly appreciated.

A Christmas Tree Lane "insider" shared a few tips: If you don't want to view the entire Boulevard, you can enter from a side street instead of from Shields.  And if you arrive closest to 6 o'clock or after 9 o'clock (after 10 on Friday & Saturday's) you'll be there with the least amount of traffic.
