Fresno REALTORS, Ken and Carol Maul, enjoyed the Fresno Community Chorus at the Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall in the Performing Arts Center at the Clovis North Educational Center Sunday, November 15, 2009.

Under the direction of  Dr. Anna Hamre, Director of Choral Activites at California State University, Fresno, the approximately 120-voice Community Chorus is composed of volunteer singers from the community who audition for membership and who meet weekly for rehearsals and perform in the community.

Upcoming concerts include Beethoven's 9th with the Fresno Philharmonic on March 5 and 6, 2010 and American Composers with Central Valley Conductors on May 15 and 16, 2010.

The Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall, along with the Dan Pessano Black Box Theater, comprise the Performing Arts Center and are venues for the entire Clovis Unified School District to enhance music, drama and musical theater.

Designed by Fresno architects, Darden Architects, the concert hall earned the firm the 2008 National Impact on Learning Award. The hall is regarded as a state-of-the-art facility for acoustics and has many features making the acoustics truly outstanding.
